and some at The Manor (SWRS meeting place at Slough station).

Admission will include a free vintage bus ride connecting the two venues.

Details of the layouts appearing have been posted on the Facebook event.

Slough Estates No.3 and the weed-killing wagon

Slough Estates No.3
and the weed-killing wagon

"Slough Estates Sidings" is a faithful recreation of the area near the Farnham Road railway bridge in Slough, where the private Slough Trading Estate railway connected to the national network. Here were 'exchange sidings' where goods trains from the network could be dropped off, and wagons for the factories on the estate could be sorted and taken onwards by the Estates' own locomotives. This long O-gauge layout features models of almost all of the locomotives operated by Slough Estates over the years.

There will be other layouts besides these two, including a play layout where children can have a go at driving a model train.

Refreshments will be available: tea, coffee, soft drinks, snacks, etc.

Lawrie of YouTube channel 'Lawrie's Mechanical Marvels', with his layouts.
